Do you take insurance?
Our consultation calls are strictly for educational purposes and are not considered a healthcare or occupational therapy service. These calls are between me and the parent/caregiver and do not involve the child in any way. Since our calls are not considered a medical/healthcare or occupational therapy service, we do not accept insurance.
Consultation Calls vs. Occupational Therapy (OT) Services?
Our consultation calls are strictly for educational purposes and are not considered a healthcare or occupational therapy service. Our consultation calls do not involve the child in any way.
In many cases, I will recommend that you have your child evaluated by a licensed occupational therapy (OT) professional who will administer assessments and use their clinical observation skills to see if your child may benefit from direct OT services. If you are on the waitlist to be evaluated or you have already been evaluated but are waiting to start working directly with an OT, consultation calls can be a great place to start. I can learn more about you and your family and help you create a plan for implementing sensory strategies to make your day to day a little more manageable.
Who can benefit from picky eating consultation calls?
Feeding consultations can be helpful for families who are aren't sure if their child needs more support during mealtimes, those who have previously completed or are currently participating in feeding therapy but are looking for more guidance at home, and/or parents of children with sensory processing differences that may be impacting meals, such as difficulty staying seated, aversions to certain textures, or discomfort with messiness.
Who can benefit from sensory-based consultation calls?
Sensory-based consultation calls are a great fit for families who have questions or concerns about their child’s sensory needs and want support implementing strategies at home, school, or in the community. They are also helpful for those who are currently on a waitlist for an evaluation or waiting to begin direct occupational therapy (OT) services. Consultation calls can even be helpful for families who already have a child receiving direct OT services, but are looking for additional support to carry strategies over into daily life. Consultation calls can also benefit parents or caregivers who are curious about their own sensory needs and how they may impact their role at home. A call can help you learn practical strategies for both you and your child to help support co-regulation throughout your daily routines.
